Grand jury issues indictments including three for child sex crimes


During its February session, a Lamar County grand jury issued indictments including three for child sex crimes.

Dennis Martin Beyer Jr., 48, was indicted for six counts of child sex crimes including sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony. He was arrested Jan. 24, 2019, by Paris Police Department officials from the 1800 block of Church Street stemmed from an offense that reportedly happened in January of 2015. He was released on $100,000 bond.

Elbert Luke Evans, 35, was also arrested for child sex crimes, including continuous sexual abuse of a child and seven counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was arrested in December of 2018 from the 200 block of W. Austin Street on a warrant stemming from an incident that reportedly happened March 1, 2018. His bond is set at $150,000 according to court records.

Bryan Keith Lynch, 38, was indicted on a second-degree felony for indecency with a child by contact and a first-degree felony of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was arrested Jan. 3, 2019, on a warrant stemming from an incident in September of 2017. His bond is set at $100,000.
