Paris to battle Waco La Vega in round three of playoffs

The Paris Wildcats travel to neutral ground at the Frisco Star this Thursday, November 29, to take on the Waco La Vega Pirates in hopes to move closer to the state championship football game.

Coming off a big win last week against Kennedale, Paris needs to play yet another great game to give them the chance of moving on to the next round. Waco La Vega has a record of 10-2 with one of those losses being in common with Paris: a defeat from Argyle.

The Pirates have had what seems to have been an easy regular season, handily outscoring most opponents. Paris had some difficult games in regular season but have managed scoring differentials in the past six match ups, two of them being playoff contests, that enabled second stringers to finalize the wins.

The average score per game of the Pirates is 13 points higher than the ‘Cats, but Paris has thrived on being the underdog in every big match up this year. The winner of this game will take on the winner of Argyle versus Celina, which means Paris could face off against the only team to beat them in district this season.

This being the third round of the playoffs, stakes will continue to get higher as the teams dwindle down to the final two. We recommend those travelling purchase tickets ahead of time from this link. We also advise familiarizing yourself with parking and bag policies for the stadium.

Kickoff for the Waco La Vega versus Paris match up is 7:30 p.m. so make sure you arrive early to get a good seat.
