Paris Wildcats hit the road for playoff game against Dallas Carter

The Paris Wildcats finished with a 7-2 overall record this season putting them in second place in district and prime position for playoffs. They travel to the neutral site of Denison to matchup against the Dallas Carter Cowboys on Friday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m.

Dallas Carter ended their regular season with a 6-4 overall record and third in their district. The Cowboys are bringing a very offensively strong team to play against the dominant Paris defense. However, crucial Wildcats outside linebacker, Gerald Palmer, is not eligible to play which could prove to be a significant handicap.

Looking at both teams’ average score per game, the Wildcats have the upper hand but only by a slim four points. The game could come down to how well Dallas Carter’s defense matches up against the Wildcats dual threat quarterback-led offense. It should prove to be an exciting game as we support our home team Wildcats’ journey into the 2018 playoffs.

As for how the Wildcats have prepared this week: “We have sped up our offense and worked more fundamentally on things, so we become overall better players. The only thing we have to be worried about is any simple mental mistakes, but I am confident that all of us are going to stay locked in on and off the field,” said quarterback Kobe Savage.
