Paris playoff run comes to an end

The Paris Wildcats played against the Waco La Vega Pirates on Thursday, November 29, at the Frisco Star stadium.

Starting off the game with a bang, quarterback Kobe Savage held onto the ball for a 70+ yard touchdown. However, replying to the Wildcats quickly the Pirates took control of the game and continued to shut down Paris throughout the night. Heading to the locker room at halftime with a score of 10-7 the Wildcats only trailed by a field goal.

Then late in the game, the Wildcats gave one final push towards the comeback, thanks to Sophomore #22 Zykius Jackson as he broke 1,000 yards against the Pirates. The ‘Cats ran out of time and momentum resulting in a tough loss and a heartbreaking ending to the football season for Paris. With a final score of 38-20, the Wildcats have nothing to be ashamed of as they showed out and gave it their all continuing the tradition of the Silver Crush and inspiring the next generation of Paris High Wildcats.

As the clock wound down and the Paris Seniors realized that they played their final game of High School Football, hugs and tears were shared by all teammates; a true family that the whole community has been a part of.

To those players, the entire Paris community says, “Thank-You” for showing us how to fight until the very end. Congratulations on another fantastic season, and thanks for an amazing ride. We cannot wait to see the change that all Wildcats will bring to our community. For those underclassmen, get to work, you have big shoes to fill next season.
